The Directorate of Education, Youth, and Sports, in collaboration with ZVA Lezhë and the Lezhë Chess Association, organized the City Chess Championship among the 9-year schools of Lezhë. This exciting event brought together talented young minds from various schools, creating an atmosphere filled with focus, strategy, and healthy competition.
Our school, Lezha Academic Center, proudly took part in this intellectual challenge, demonstrating both skill and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. We are thrilled to share that our student Sarafin Filoqi earned an impressive second place, while Nduen Ujkaj achieved a remarkable fourth place among many skilled participants.
This championship was more than just a competition — it was an opportunity for students to enhance their critical thinking, patience, and concentration, as well as to build friendships and learn the value of perseverance and fair play.
We congratulate our students for their dedication and outstanding performance, and we extend our gratitude to the organizers for creating such an inspiring and educational experience.
Moments like these remind us that chess is not only a game but a powerful tool for shaping sharp, strategic, and resilient minds.
